TOPIC: THE KING HAS DECIDED TO HONOUR YOU – PART 1
Esther 6:1-13, 1 Samuel 2:13-18,30, Malachi 3:6, Galatians 6:7
Once in a while, the kings of kingdoms do invite men and women who they consider worthy of honor as a result of their contribution in the land. As we read in the book of Esther, the king decided to honor Mordecai because of the good role he played in preserving the king from murder.
The present Presidents of countries also do the same. Even in Nigeria, some people were recently honored by the government. If humans can do this, how much more God Almighty who knows and sees everything under the sun. He owns the whole earth, he is good and rewards people that do good.
He is not in want of anything required to honor those that have done well. Genesis 1:1, Psalm 24:1, Psalm 115:16. These scriptures tell us God has everything in abundance and not in lack and as such, he is equal to the task.
Romans 13:7- Here, we read how God commands that honor should be given to whom it is due. Now,if God can give such command, shall he not do same unto us?
We shall consider this message under the following sub-headings.
POINT 1: THE KING EXPLAINED AND REASONS
In order to avoid misconception, it is important to explain the personality we are talking about. We aren’t talking about earthly kings and monarchs. We are not talking about rulers of this world or kings in the Bible days.
The honor given by men of this world fades away. 1 Corinthians 7:31
We are talking about the glory that does not fade away, the one that comes from above. We are talking about God, the Alpha and Omega, the one that created the kings, governors, he is the Kingmaker himself. Genesis 17:1, Isaiah 9:6, Revelation 22:12-13
As prayers will be made today, the king will honor you! Isaiah 45:19, Matthew 11:28, Genesis 18:17-19,
Today, God is looking for someone to honor and make a king. 1 Sam 16:1-12. However, you need to make sure you’re qualified for this honor.
POINT 2: SOME EXAMPLES AND THE BENEFITS
God has been honouring people from the Bible days.
He honoured the righteous Noah and entered into covenant with him to establish a new generation.
Genesis 6: 18; Genesis 7: 1; Genesis 9: 1
Noah received honour from the Lord God and God blessed him and his generation.
God also honoured his obedient servant Abraham.
Genesis 12 : 1-4
Abraham obeyed God and as a result, entered into generational blessings.
Genesis 22: 1, 10-18
Abraham did not withhold his only son from the Lord and thereby provoked God to honour him.
I do not know what the Lord is demanding from you. You must believe that God is able to do much more than that for you.
God honoured Moses a righteous man and used him to deliver the people of Israel.
God honoured Joseph the righteous man and made him the Prime Minister of Egypt.
God also honoured many.persons in the Bible and even in this current world.
Even in our midst in The Lords Chosen, God has honoured all of us by making us a Chosen. It is a great honour to be a Chosen. God has honoured us with salvation, sanctification, Holyghost baptism and many more.
There are many persons here that have been doing good in the secret and nobody knows about it. In some cases several of the people you have helped have turned to pay you back with evil.
You see you, this programme is for you and today and tomorrow, God will honour you.
Malachi 3: 6; Hebrews 13: 8
The King decided to honour David and he honoured him in the sight of all Israel.
We must recognise that sin causes limitations and dishonor. Turn to righteousness and begin to live a life that pleases God.
If you want to prosper in righteousness and holiness, please do not cover your sins.
Proverbs 28: 13; Isaiah 59: 1
We can see that sin hinders answers to prayers. As many that shall repent of their sins today, shall receive honour from God.
You must therefore amend your ways and do not return to sin.
For the sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.
A Sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is not a Sinner.
1 John 3: 8 & 9;
Are you asking, “what is sin?”
1 John 5: 17a
All unrighteousness is sin.
Unbelief is sin. Unforgiveness is sin; Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin
Lusting after evil things is sin. Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin. You need to search your life. Confess them. Repent and promise God, no more.
Are you patronising the native doctors or you are one of them? Are you going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. As we pray now, ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin, ritual killings?Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into extortion? Taking bribe or giving bribe? That is sin. Amend your ways.
Are you into divorce? That is sin.
Matthew 19: 4-6.
Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman until death separates you.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin. It is an abomination. Deuteronomy 22: 5. Abominable people can never enter Heaven. Revelations 21: 8.
Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.
All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
I have spoken these words, not to condemn you, but to convict you of any sin you may be into and for you to turn away from that sin.
Proverbs 28: 13;
God is willing to show you mercy and he has made provisions for the sins that are past.
If you want to reconcile with God; come to the Father through Jesus Christ. I am assuring you, freedom from sin shall be your portion.
John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
As you give your life to Jesus Christ and begin to live the life of the kingdom of God, I am assuring you, that generational blessings and honour shall be your portion.
Romans 10: 13
