TOPIC: GOD’S COVENANT OF PEACE AND BLESSINGS  (PART 1)

Text: 2 Chronicles 15: 1; Matthew 6: 33; John 16: 33

Our God is the Master of all things, the Father of all spirits and the Creator of all things.
In Genesis 1:1, the Bible describes God as the creator of heaven and earth. These other passages also corroborate the same affirmation – Psalm 24:1, Psalm 115: 16, Psalm 121:1, Colossians 1:16

Without him, nothing can exist.
He is the giver of life, peace, progress, blessings, protection and all other things. Outside of God Almighty, there is no real progress or peace whether in the family, community or country.
Outside of God Almighty, there is wickedness, corruption, immorality and other associated problems.

Today, we have come to the one who has the solution to all problems.
2 Chronicles 15:1-6, Isaiah 57: 20-21.
Our reason for being here is to enter into covenant with God to seek for peace from all our troubles. In this light, I congratulate you for being here today.
After making peace with God, we can then enter into covenant of blessings, prosperity, long life etc.
We can take a cue from what King Asa did in the Bible in  2 Chronicles 15:12.
Remember, our God does not joke with covenants. Joel 2:25.
We all should make up our mind to seek God in righteousness and holiness and God will appear in our midst in this program.
Jeremiah 29:11-14, 2 Chronicles 7:13, Ezekiel 34:25.

We shall consider this message under the following sub-headings for better understanding.

1: THE URGENT NEED FOR THIS COVENANT AND REASONS

When it is clear that our relationship with God our creator has been broken through sin, we must rush back to God and amend our ways. At this point, we must not delay to enter into covenant with Him and seek remedy.

2 Chronicles 15: 1-8. In this scripture, we see again the example of King Asa and how he led the people of Israel back to God.

Know that whenever you see abnormal things happening, it is a sign the devil is at work.  We are to go to God for solution rather than running from pillar to post in search of non-existent solutions.
Isaiah 45:22, Matthew 13:28, Genesis 32:28.

Isaiah 43:10- Power belongs unto God and He can weild it in your favour whenever you call upon Him.
As we have come to the true God today, He will make peace with us and usher us into prosperity.
2 Corinthians 10:6

2: OUR RESPONSE AND BENEFITS.

Everyone present in this program must enter into covenant to serve God knowing we cannot do without Him.
John 15:5, Everything that matters can only be obtained from God. You cannot fight the invisible spirits that are responsible for our troubles. As such, we have got to depend on God.

Remember how God helped little David to defeat Goliath.
1 Samuel 17:47, Exodus 14:13,
No matter who is fighting you, you must through prayers, report such unto God.

A man that is abiding in God can do all things. Recall Shedrach, Meshack and Abednego who survived the fiery fire because God was with them. You today who is a child of God will have all things as you make up your mind to serve God today.
God Almighty is the embodiment of power. If you can see power walking with hands and feet, that is God.
God is always ready to fight for us against disobedient spirits; this will happen when we obey God and do his will.
A man that can rely on God, such a man shall be without limitations.
As you make up your mind to serve God, I am assuring you that you will have all round miracles Romans 8: 31

As we conclude this message today, make sure you do not give place to the Devil. You must therefore amend your ways and do not return to sin. Sin will hinder you and deny you of your blessings and joy.
For the sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.
A Sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is not a Sinner.
1 John 3: 8 & 9;
Are you asking, “what is sin?”
1 John 5: 17a;
All unrighteousness is sin.
Unbelief is sin. Unforgiveness is sin; Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin
Lusting after evil things is sin.  Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin. You need to search your life. Confess them. Repent and promise God, no more.
Are you patronising the native doctors or you are one of them? Are you going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.

If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.

Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin, ritual killings?Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into extortion? Taking bribe or giving bribe? That is sin. Amend your ways.
Are you into divorce? That is sin.
Matthew 19: 4-6.

Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman until death separates you.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin. It is an abomination. Deuteronomy 22: 5. Abominable people can never enter Heaven. Revelations 21: 8.
Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.

All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 28: 13;
God is willing to show you mercy and he has made provisions for the sins that are passed.
John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
As we reconcile with God through Jesus Christ today, God will give us all things.
You see you as from today, you are going home as a man with dominion; a man with authority.
Romans 10: 13
Rise up and let us pray.
O Lord, I enter into the covenant afresh to seek you and to serve you with all my being and I seal this covenant with the blood of Jesus Christ.
