THE LORDS CHOSEN CHARISMATIC REVIVAL MINISTRY
FROM SORROW TO JOY 2022
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2022
MINISTERING: General Overseer
TOPIC: FROM SORROW TO JOY – PART 1
Esther 9:22, John 16:20, Acts 26:17, Acts 8:5.
Many people are in terrible sorrow as a result of the activities of demons and their human agents. The enemy has caused a lot of damages in the lives of people experiencing sorrow. I really do not know the things causing sorrow in your life such that while others are rejoicing, you are crying. I will like to assure you that this program will mark the end of such experiences.
In Rev 21:4, God promises to wipe away all tears. When you come to a place like this, and become born again, you shall become totally free.
We shall consider the following points for better understanding of this message.
1: THE CAUSES OF SORROW.
Remember, there is no sorrow without a cause. Sorrow weakens people, it might even cause ageing or nervous breakdown. It brings discouragement and lack of boldness. One can become depressed and start wishing for death.
Recall a man in the Bible( Elijah) who went through immense, sorrowful experience.
1 kings 19:1
Elijah had done exploits that made Jezebel unhappy with him and was after his life. Elijah was so troubled that he wished for death.
When you’re going through sorrow as a child of God, some persons may even question you and ask why you’re suffering despite being a child of God.
These things should not be so. We should know that the devil is the chief cause of sorrow.
In John 10:10, we see how the Bible describes him as one constantly looking to kill and destroy. None of his actions lead to joy. When one is not born again, the devil will have free entry to enter and cause problems. That is why we are warned to never give the devil chance. Eph 4:27
Once you give the devil chance by careless Christian life, he will come in to torment and destroy. 1 John 5:18
We must keep ourselves from sin so that the devil won’t see any chance to come in. He will definitely attempt to come in, but we must resist him. James 4:7.
The devil is also the cause of broken marriages, poverty, stagnancy, failure, unemployment, barreness, sicknesses etc.
Let us consider some Bible examples of people who were involved in sin and what happened to them.
The Isrealites in Judges 6:2 easily comes to mind.
Exodus 3:7. The consolation we have is that, if you realize your wrongdoings and repent, God will hear your cry and take away the sorrowful situation. Psalm 32:10
2: OUR RESPONSE AND REMEDY
Whoever wants to be free from sorrow must do away with carefree Christian life. Remember Esau in the Bible who carelessly sold off his birthright and suffered greatly for it.
Hebrew 12:16. We must strongy resist the devil regardless of how he disguises sin to us and makes it look attractive.
Ephesians 4:27, 1 Peter 5:8,
We should be sober and vigilant so the devil doesn’t take advantage of us.
Recall people like David, King Asa in the Bible.
The remedy for all is to amend our ways, seek and serve God with all our hearts. Psalm 50: 15, Exodus 3:7
Matthew 15:13. Pslam 34:6 John 10:10, Rev 5:1,Matthew 11:1
Nothing is impossible with God, whatever you’re going through is not bigger than God. Here in The Lords Chosen, we have seen diverse dimensions of God’s power.
Our assurance is that every work of the Devil that makes you to be sorrowful shall be destroyed.
As we conclude this message today, make sure you do not give place to the Devil. You must therefore amend your ways and do not return to sin. Sin will hinder you and deny you of your blessings and joy.
For the sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.
A Sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is not a Sinner.
1 John 3: 8 & 9;
Are you asking, “what is sin?”

All unrighteousness is sin.
Unbelief is sin. Unforgiveness is sin; Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin
Lusting after evil things is sin. Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin. You need to search your life. Confess them. Repent and promise God, no more.
Are you patronising the native doctors or you are one of them? Are you going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin, ritual killings?Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into extortion? Taking bribe or giving bribe? That is sin. Amend your ways.

Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.
All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Proverbs 28: 13;
God is willing to show you mercy and he has made provisions for the sins that are passed.
John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
