TOPIC: SOMETHING SPECIAL TO OCCUPY

Text: John 16: 24; Luke 19: 13; Luke 14: 16- 17

Since the beginning of this year, the Lord has been so gracious to us. It has been from one series of blessings to another.
From the month of Joy in January, to February of fabulous blessings; then the month of breakthrough and possess in March; to the month of fruitfulness and multiplication in April where we heard several testimonies of fruitfulness from the brethren and the Church multiplied; then the month of mercy in May where the Lord showed us mercy in answers to our prayers; then the 6th month of jubilation for the Needy, all the Needy were visited and they went home in jubilation; then Jubilee for the Captives in July to the month of abundance in August and God blessed us in abundance; after that was the 8th month of showers of blessings and the showers is still flowing till date and then there comes the 10th month, the month of “Occupy till I come”.
All the blessings from the 1st month to the 10th month is yours to occupy and on this last day of the 10th month, the Lord is giving us something special to occupy.

It is very clear that the Lord has set the ball of blessings rolling.
The Lord is ready to touch us in areas we have not been visited to ensure that we occupy the various blessings we have received in the past months and receive more and more.

2 John 8
We should not lose anything which the Lord has given to us.

2 Peter 1: 8
If you retain what God has given to you, you shall never be barren.

We shall consider this message under the following sub headings:

1. SPECIAL THINGS TO OCCUPY AND REASONS.

It is certain that many of us have received God’s blessings from the month of January till date. However it is possible that some persons have not received the desire that brought them to this Church.
In whatever case might be your situation, it is God that has allowed it that way, because he is the all wise God and the all knowing God.
There is no need for you to worry as God Almighty knows what he is doing.

Romans 8: 28
All things work together for good. This includes delaying that very good thing you need in order to establish the purpose of God in your life. We know that the purpose of God for us is that we should be blessed and make Heaven at last. It is therefore for your own good.
Another scenario is that if you have been attending this Church and yet you are living in sin and in wickedness, the Lord will not hear your prayers (Proverbs 28: 13).

God will not answer you if you remain in your sins. He will rather delay the answers to those prayers until the work of transformation is accomplished in your life.

Isaiah 59: 1
You might be praying. However unless you confess your sins, those prayers will not be answered by God.

All I want you to understand is that if you are yet to receive answers to your prayers, then look inwards and allow God establish his purpose in your life. What matters most in your life is the salvation of your souls.

Matthew 6: 33
Make sure you become a member of God’s family and as you please your Father in Heaven, he is bound to take care of you. He is the Creator of heaven and earth (Luke 15: 31).
When you begin to live the life of the kingdom, whatsoever you are looking for, God will grant it to you and ensure you make Heaven at the end of this life.

There are people that if God gives them money without salvation, you will find them using that money in unrighteousness. Some will go to their village and begin to contest for the position of Traditional Ruler while others will buy big vehicles and go to Night Clubs (Mark 8: 36).

Luke 10: 41 & 42
You might be caring for many things of this life. However there is just one thing that is needful and that one thing is your genuine salvation.
If you be a Child of God, you will see that God has a good plan for you.

Jeremiah 29: 11
God has a plan of peace for you.  God is planning salvation and heaven for you. If you will receive salvation today, all that accompanies salvation, the Lord will grant it to you.
God is ready. Whatever it is that brought you here, God is going to meet you at your very need.
He has everything you need in life. God is the Creator and at the same time the owner of all things.
You see you as i pray for you today, you will see the power of God. The God whom I serve can do and undo.
I am assuring you that from today whatsoever that needs to be recreated in your life, as i speak here today that organ and system will be recreated. Amen.

God will prove to you that he is the God and not a man.
You see you today, there shall be blessings in your life. You are in for something special and therefore position yourself in faith. Whatsoever you are looking for, God will grant it to you.

Luke 14: 17
Let us consider this illustration. As a man or woman while you are looking for a child, you receive the Spirit that created man or you are looking for money and receive the Spirit that created money and wealth; you can see that in such condition, you have all things.
Whatsoever God has given to you, do not misuse it. Use it profitably and let it become a blessing to humanity.

2. THE CONSEQUENCES OF FAILING TO OCCUPY AND OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE

Luke 19: 20- 27
The point is that those persons that occupy profitably were given more. Whatsoever God has given to you, use it to the glory of God.

Any person who will fail to occupy or become careless with what God has given to you, such person will have no portion in heaven.

Hebrews 12: 16 & 17
Just as Esau did not know the value of his birthright so also there are many today, that do not know the value of their salvation.
Do not lose your salvation because of anything.  Let us not be like Esau. We must therefore ask for salvation to occupy and use it to the glory of God.

John 16: 24
If till this moment you have not asked anything in the name of the Lord, ask and you shall receive that your joy may be full.

Ask and endeavour to occupy in all things.

Matthew 7: 7 & 8
Everyone that asketh will receive.

Philipians 4: 19; Luke 14: 17
The Lord will give you something special to occupy.
Are you barren, ask God to give you children that will serve the Lord.
Are you poor ask God for riches; God will do it for you and grant you riches.
If you have no shelter or house of your own, ask God and he will give it to you.
Are people making mockery of you? Today ask God to intervene.

You see this week and this month, God will give you something special to occupy.
Are you having abandoned projects and limitations, today as you ask God, he will cross you over.

As we conclude this message today and are believing God for something special to occupy, it is important that you amend your ways and do not return to sin.
Sin will hinder you and deny you of occupying something special.
For the sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.
A Sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is not a Sinner.
1 John 3: 8 & 9;
Are you asking, what is sin? All unrighteousness is sin.
1 John 5: 17a;
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.

If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.

Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin? Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into divorce? That is sin.
Matthew 19: 4-6.

Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman until death separates you.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin. Deuteronomy 22: 5
Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.

All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 28: 13; John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
As you give your life to Jesus Christ and begin to live the life of the kingdom of God,  I am assuring you, that this very day my God in Heaven will grant you something special to occupy.
Romans 10: 13
Rise up and let us pray.
Pray and ask God to remember you.
O’ Lord remember me, the hour has come. Restore for me all that the wicked has destroyed and taken away.
