Memory Verse: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” (Joel 2:25)
The Corona Virus had come and gone leaving behind trails of lamentations arising from losses recorded by many people. Some people lost their jobs because companies could not sustain salaries. Others had their businesses closed down because they could not access goods. As a result, life has become difficult and things appear hopeless. Yes. For the people of the world, there might not be a concrete assurance that things will return to normal. However, for the children of God, we have an assurance of restoration.
This assurance of restoration is contained in our memory verse for today, in which the Lord promises a restoration of whatever the locusts, cankerworm, caterpillar, palmerworm had eaten. These situations have been described as a ‘great army’ sent to invade the land because of the world’s sin and wickedness. So, the Lord is aware of whatever you are going through, and by the repentance of the church and the prayers of His humble servants, He has performed a u-turn and is set to restore you to plenty and abundance. By the reason of this resolve, His blessings shall locate you like rain showers and you shall eat in plenty until you are satisfied.
What is it that God has allowed in your life today? His anger does not last forever. By His mercy, He will forgive. Therefore, any prayer you make this month in the direction of restoration shall receive answers because of God’s faithfulness. Therefore, take advantage of God’s faithfulness and begin to ask for restoration. But that is after you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Prioritizing the kingdom of God and His righteousness activates God’s showers and other covenant promises.
During this period, you must match your faith with works because faith without works is dead. It is not enough to exercise faith without going out to work.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
- Whatever the enemy has stolen from my life and destiny; be restored by fire, in Jesus’ name.
- Whatever the locusts, cankerworm, caterpillar, palmerworm, and other devouring spirits of losses and wastage had eaten; be recovered and restored by fire, in Jesus’ name.
- Anything that gives the devil legal right over my life; be invalidated by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ name.
- Any power working to cage God’s grace, anointing, and power upon our G. O and Mommy in the Lord; receive double frustration, in Jesus’ name.
- By the power and authority in the name of Jesus Christ, we vehemently oppose any war situation in our nation. We ask for the peace of God that passes human understanding, in Jesus’ name.
