The Lord’s Chosen Devotional Guide

Text: 2 Chronicles 17:3-4
Theme: HE HAS PROVED HIS FAITHFULNESS ONCE AGAIN
Memory Verse: “Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.” (Psalm 89:33)
Without any iota of doubt, it is obvious that God has proved His faithfulness in the lives of His chosen ones. He has fulfilled all the promises He made to us especially to keep and preserve us from death and destruction. It is for this reason that we escaped this unprecedented surge of carnage going on all around us. He says, “Nevertheless,” which means, that no matter the situation coupled with our weaknesses and inadequacies, He will still defend us as a matter of His faithfulness; not because of our prayer, righteousness, tithe paying, etc. He has done that exactly and brought us safely to the end of another month. We have nothing but praise and worship, honor and adoration for Him.
The bible equally urges the redeemed of the Lord to say so; those He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy. It is a special thing for God to redeem His people from the hand of the enemy. For that reason, the bible enjoins believers to always declare God’s redemptive power any time it is demonstrated in their lives. This declaration is one major way of showing that we are grateful for what the Lord has accomplished in our lives.
Being alive today, we are the redeemed of the Lord. The Lord has been so merciful upon us from the time of the first phase of the coronavirus pandemic to other phases until its sudden disappearance. Now, He has also seen us through the insurgency, banditry, kidnapping, killing, destruction, going on in our nation and around us. He has preserved us from accidents on the way, (Keke, motorcycle, vehicle, stray bullets) ritual killers, kidnappers, armed robbers,s and so on. In all these, God shielded u and our families from death, disaster, and destruction. We only heard about these plagues, but they never came near our dwellings according to the promise of God.
Many of us saw and heard about those we knew one on one die and leave the stage. It is not as if we are better or more righteous than them, but the Lord just did it for us. What the Lord has done is too numerous to be remembered. All we can do is to say, “Thank you, dear Lord.
So, today, God has kept you alive in the land of the living. Therefore, it makes sense to reciprocate this good gesture by declaring His redemptive power. There may be things you set out to achieve that is still pending.
Nevertheless, what is more important today is that you are still alive. He that is living has hope since a living dog is better than a dead lion. It is only when you are alive that you can pursue and achieve set goals and objectives. Therefore, your being alive today offers you fresh hope and the opportunity to give life another shot. But for today, let’s just be happy and appreciate God for His mercy, graciousness, and love. Thank Him and bless Him for He has done what no man can do.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
- O God my Father, I give you all the glory for seeing me through the previous month and bringing me into the new one. Receive all the glory and honor and adoration, in Jesus’ name.
- Lord, I ask that you take total and absolute control over my life, business, career, and family in the coming month, in Jesus’ name.
- I pray and ask that any obstacle and hindrance programmed against my abundance; be removed by fire, in Jesus’ name.
- In the coming month, release fresh grace and super fire-power anointing that will enable our G. O and Mommy in the Lord to operate fully in the supernatural realm of the spirit, in Jesus’ name.
- We ask that you save our nation from disaster. Grant us absolute peace, love, and unity, in Jesus’ name.
