Topic: HE CAME FOR THAT PURPOSE
Text: Matthew 11: 28; John 10: 10; Romans 8: 31; 1 John 3: 8
Many people are bound with so many problems in this life and over the years without any solution. As a result they have resorted to living with their problem and managing it. Some have sought solutions in diverse places to no avail.
Everyone should recognize that all these problems started with Adam.
Romans 3: 23
You should understand that the first parents that is the first man and woman created by God, disobeyed God and lost the glory of God. This is what brought everyone of us into this situation.
If you are going through any sort of trouble, you should know that the beginning of it started with Adam and Eve when they disobeyed God and man was exposed to all sorts of trouble.
You must recognize that these troubles have a solution and that is why Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3: 8.
Today, that work of the devil in your life shall be destroyed.
SOME POINTS TO CONSIDER:
- THE REASONS PURPOSE OF HIS COMING AND UNFORTUNATE SITUATION
We know that the plan of God in creating human beings was for his pleasure.
Revelations 4: 11
Man was created for God’s pleasure.
Genesis 1: 27- 30
God created us in his own image and likeness so that he can have fellowship with us. He created us to be like him and made us to rule over the earth. He also gave all things to us free of charge in the Garden of Eden.
When God created us, we were full of glory and power. There was neither sickness, death nor problems at the very beginning.
We must recognise that every sin carries a curse. Consequently, after fall of man, God placed a curse as a result of disobedience.
The problem of man started at the Garden of Eden by reason of the fall of Adam and Eve.
The record of the consequence of this sin is captured in Romans 3: 23.
Immediately after this fall of man, God made provision for the recovery of man
Genesis 3: 9 -16
When you consider the above scriptures you will see how God started looking for man.
The remedy that God designed thereafter was for the seed of woman to bruise the head of the serpent. This is why Jesus Christ came through the virgin mary to relieve man from sin.
Romans 6: 23
The devil had planned that through the fall of man, there will be no relationship between God and man again.
1 John 3: 8
This is why the Bible records that he that commited sin is of the devil. However, for this purpose the Son of God was manifested that he may destroy the works of the devil.
This is where many people in the world are making mistakes. The world believes that the works of the devil can be destroyed by scientists, doctors, academics, money and human wisdom. This is why they remain in bondage and suffering.
You see that problem that brought you here today, Jesus Christ came for that purpose and that problem will not follow you home again. That problem will never survive in Jesus name.
John 10: 10b; Hebrews 2: 9 & 10
You see you today, Jesus Christ will bring you to glory.
Today, the glory of righteousness shall be restored.
John 8: 36
You shall be totally free and be a blessing again. This why Jesus Christ came.
I want you to understand this truth can never be covered.
No matter the problem you brought here today, he came for that purpose.
Jesus Christ is here now for that purpose .
Matthew 18: 20
If where two or three are gathered in his name and the Lord is there, how much more where hundreds or thousands of people are gathered in his name, he will be much more there.
The Lord is here now; because he came and for that purpose. I am assuring that your problem will not survive here today.
1 John 3: 9
Those works of the devil in your life will never survive here today. That curse you have been carrying up and down will never survive today.
Nobody will go here the same. I will hear your testimony.
If there must be progress anywhere, there must be a voice. When that voice comes forth, people will be enjoying. As you have come here today, there is a voice that brings solution and I am assuring you that your situation must change.
There is a voice that is here standing for you.
The unfortunate situation as it is today is that many are ignorant of the purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ. It is a painful situation.
Irrespective, Jesus Christ is calling them to come.
All of you that responded to this call, Jesus Christ will give you rest.
You see you, every declaration here today must come to pass.
- EXAMPLES, OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND THE BENEFITS.
Many examples abound to prove that Jesus Christ came for that purpose and which is to destroy the works of the devil.
We can see from the scriptures that Jesus Christ healed every condition presented before him.
Matthew 4: 23
Jesus Christ healed them. Everybody here must be healed.
I am assuring you that you must be healed.
This is the Place. Jesus Christ came for that purpose.
That problem you brought here today cannot survive here. No matter what you are going through, I am seeing the end of your problem here today.
Luke 19: 1-10
You see today salvation shall be your portion. Title cannot deliver you. Position or money cannot deliver you.
The work of Jesus Christ is more than that of an expert.
Our expected response is to honour the invitation of the Lord and be committed unto him.
I do not know what you are suffering. Stop taking your problems here and there.
Matthew 17 : 16-18
The lesson in the above scripture is that we should change our focus from man and look unto the Lord Jesus.
Luke 14: 16-17
In the Lord all things are now ready.
No matter what you are going through, Jesus Christ came for that purpose.
He came to meet all your needs.
He came to restore the glory that was lost.
We should bring all our problems to him and that will be the end of the matter.
1 Peter 5: 7
Whatsoever be the problem, bring all of them to Jesus Christ because he careth for you.
John 14 : 13 & 14
If you shall ask anything in the name of the Lord, the Lord will do it.
You must know that God cannot lie.
All of you, the Lord is here to meet your needs.
As we conclude this message today, it is important that you amend your ways and do not return to sin. Sin will hinder you and deny you of your blessings.
For the sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.
A Sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is not a Sinner.
1 John 3: 8 & 9;
Some persons here today may be asking, “what is sin?”
1 John 5: 17a;
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Love of money, love of the world, pride; confess them and say unwilling do it no more.
Going to native doctors, going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin? Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into divorce? That is sin.
Matthew 19: 4-6 & 9
Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman until death separates you. If you have divorced your wife, you must bring her back.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin. Deuteronomy 22: 5
Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.
All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Proverbs 28: 13; John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
Let us make sure we amend our ways and wait for the rapture of the Saints.
He came for that purpose.
As you give your life to Jesus Christ and begin to live the life of the kingdom of God, I am assuring you, those works of the devil shall be destroyed in your life.
