Topic: FREEDOM FOR THE CAPTIVES
Text: Isaiah 61: 1 & 2; Psalm 126: 1
As we draw closer to the conclusion of this theme being the month of Jubilee, the Lord himself will proclaim freedom for the CAPTIVES from whatever that is holding them. By the power of the most high God, everyone shall be completely free.
Those that have helped the needy and every one in the Church, the Lord will do the same for you and everyone of our brethren in Jesus name.
From the commencement of these series of messages, we have been encouraged to help one another and be a blessing to the Needy.
In as much as God has blessed you, try to be a blessing to others and also be a blessing to the Church. I expect that you have done one thing or the other in line with these messages. If you have done so, God will bless you. As many that you have cancelled their debts, this God will cancel your own debts.
God is set to proclaim jubilee for us and our entire households.
If you must enter abundance of blessings next month, you must do something this month. You all know that the month of August is known as the month of Abundance in The Lords Chosen Calendar.
Every body here is meant to do something.
Job 42: 8-10,12 & 13
God blessed Job after Job had blessed his friends. The friends of Job did something and Job also did something and the Lord visited them.
Psalm 126: 1
The point is that God will do something for you and all the people around you shall know that God has visited his people.
SOME POINTS TO CONSIDER:
- THE CAUSES OF CAPTIVITY AND EXAMPLES.
When a person is ignorant of the Creator, one thing that is certain is that the devil will capture such a person.
If a person claims to know God and at the same time such person goes on to live in sin, such a person will be captured by the devil and kept in the prison of the devil. This is another cause of captivity.
When a person is stingy that person will be captured by the devil and thrown into the prison of poverty.
It is therefore most important that we know our Creator and do his will.
We must obey the fullness of the word of God. I am assuring you that no enemy can put us in captivity.
Exodus 19: 4 & 5; Judges 6: 1-6
If you obey the Lord, he will make you a special treasure in his sight; anything contrary to that will open the door for captivity of the enemy.
The causes of captivity includes the following:
– lack of knowledge of God;
– Committing Sin while you claim to be a Child of God and being stingy.
In the above scriptures what brought torment and slavery upon the Israelites in the hands of their enemies was sin.
When you are living in sin, you will suffer for many years in the hands of the enemy. I pray that today, the.Lord will deliver you.
Psalm 137: 1-4
It was because of sin that the Israelites were taken to a strange land. The enemy was dealing with them and making mockery of them.
Are you singing the Lord’s song in a strange land as a Backslider? If you will cry out today and tell the lord “no more” and do the will of God, the Lord will deliver you.
Galatians 6: 7
If you want to reap fruits, be wise to follow. As other people are sowing, hurry and sow your own seed. All those that are stingy and refuse to show, they get nothing.
Luke 6: 38
The measure you give is what you will receive. Please give abundantly.
Another cause of captivity is lack of faith.
Sometimes, a zealous Believer can be captured by the devil as a result of faithlessness.
If you will have faith, your enemy will not torment you and mess you up. The enemy will not dump you in prison.
Faith is essential in our relationship with God.
Persecution is another instrument which the enemy can use to put the children of God in prison. However there is nothing to worry about that as the Lord God Almighty will deliver you.
Acts 12: 5-11
An example can be seen in the above scriptures where as a result of persecution, Apostle Peter was put in prison. You can see that the Angel of God delivered him.
If as a result of persecution the enemy has put you in prison, God will send his Angel to deliver you.
1 Peter 5: 8
In addition, where a Believer is armless, prayerless or careless about the enemy, the devil will strike and he or she will be captured and dumped into prison.
A Believer should not be careless. Be reminded that your adversary the devil moveth about as an angry lion. Believers must be armed with prayers, faith and righteousness.
A Believer must be armed with the fruits and gifts of the spirit and you must pray them in. You must be armed with prayerfulness.
Luke 11: 21
Are you a strong Believer, you must be armed with prayerfulness, faith and righteousness and by so doing, defeat your enemies.
An example can be seen in scriptures how sin can lead a man into the enemies captivity.
Judges 2: 11-14
The Israelites as seen in the scripture, forsook the Lord and began worshipping idols and as a result they could not stand before their enemies.
Judges 3: 7,11-14; Judges 4: 2; Judges 10: 6-8; Judges 13:1
For eight years, the children of Israel suffered in the hands of their enemies.
The sentence continues to increase because the children of Israel continued to commit sin.
If you consider chapter four of the book of judges, there is an additional Twenty years sentence upon the Israelites.
Whenever you commit sin be rest assured that you will go into captivity and the enemy will afflict such a person.
It is my prayer that you will not continue to do evil. I pray it will never be your portion.
2 Timothy 3: 10
The Apostle Paul testified that the Lord God delivered him from all persecutions.
If you be Child of God and you are suffering persecution, the Lord will deliver you.
There is nothing to fear.
You see you, maybe you are suffering persecution like Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego, the Lord will deliver you.
If you are suffering persecution like Peter and Paul, the Lord will deliver you.
Remember the case of Job, he was a righteous man and God delivered him from persecution.
Do not forget that when Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego were put in the fire, the Lord entered the fire and delivered them. This same God will deliver you.
Are you passing through persecution like Daniel and the people surrounding you are like lions looking to devour you?
As the Lord closed the mouth of the lions in the den for Daniel, today the Lord will close the mouth of all the lions surrounding you in Jesus name. Amen.
Whether you believe it or not, my faith is greater than your doubts.
I have come here and my duty is to free you from captivity. As i speaki today, the Lord will follow you home and i will hear your testimony.
The assurance I am giving to you is that you are going home completely free.
- HE THAT SETS THE CAPTIVES FREE.
The moment any person is taken captive by the enemy, whether physically or spiritually, such a person cannot deliver himself.
If the devil has captured you and put you in prison, you need someone that is free to deliver you. It is like someone that is put in a Police cell, you need someone that is free to bail you out.
I do not know the prison or captivity you are into. I am here today to bring you out.
1 Samuel 2: 9; Zechariah 4: 6
By strength shall no man prevail.
It is not by power and it is not by might. It is by the Spirit of the Lord.
Do not say you have power or that you have strength.
Where then can we find this spirit of the Lord? Let us consider the following scripture.
Isaiah 61: 1
Are you looking for the Spirit of the Lord, look up here for the Lord has anointed me to proclaim freedom for the Captives.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me.
In the day the Lord God created the Heavens and earth, he spoke and said, let there be light and there was light. As I speak concerning your matter, please do not doubt me. if i say you are free, you are free indeed.
You see you today, the Lord God whom I serve will intervene in your situation. He will visit you and your story will change.
John 15: 4 & 5
You need to be in Christ so that you can do all things.
As we are concluding this message, anyone that is into the prison of the enemy such as poverty, rising and falling, shame and reproach, sickness and diverse afflictions, insanity, oppression, barreness, delay in marriage or crisis in marriage or crisis in home, sorrow, failure, I am assuring you something will happen in your life today.
I do not know where they are asking you where is your God or where people are mocking your family; you see you, by the authority in the name of Jesus, I will step into that family. By the Spirit of God, the story of that family shall change. Instead of shame, reproach and mockery, there shall be promotion, blessings and miracles. Amen.
These few hours with the Lord will settle the matter. You see you, after I conclude this message today, you are going to have dreams and revelations .
Psalm 40: 1-3
Are you going to wait patiently for the Lord? Have you been crying? The Lord will hear you today. The Lord will establish your goings and put a new song in your mouth.
Psalm 50: 14 &15
Is there any trouble you are going through? If you call, you are calling at the right time and God will save you and deliver you out of prison.
The only personality that has the authority to set anyone free is the living God. I believe we have met his requirements by repenting of every sin.
As our program titled, “GOD HAS SWORN TO BLESS YOU” is fast approaching, we must engage in evangelism, morning cry, fasting and prayers, ensure purity, righteousness, holiness. In addition advertise the program by all means possible and make sure we buy and wear the apron. We must send the invitation to our families and friends.
Chosen People make sure you do not come to this programme alone.
Call upon the Lord ask him to deliver you and visit you.
Make sure to keep away from all ungodliness and unrighteousness.
For the sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.
Romans 3:23; 1 John 3: 8 & 9; 1 John 5: 17a; Isaiah 59: 1;
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin? Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into divorce? That is sin.
Matthew 19: 4-6.
Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman until death separates you.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin. Deuteronomy 22: 5
Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.
All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Proverbs 28: 13; John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
As you give your life to Jesus Christ and begin to live the life of the kingdom of God, I am assuring you, that the Lord God whom I serve shall deliver you and set you free in Jesus name.
Romans 10: 13
