TOPIC: SAY WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM THAT UGLY SITUATION
Genesis 1: 3; Exodus 14: 12 & 13; 1 Kings 17: 1; Matthew 9: 20- 26;
Many people have remained in some ugly situations because they have refused to follow certain principles required to correct that situation.
They magnify the problem while at the same time claim they need solution, remedy or want to be free.
Deuteronomy 9: 1-2
The Anakims were the people the children of Israel had to overcome in order to enter the promise land. However there is a saying in those days that goes thus, “who can stand before the children of Anak”
The Children of Anak were giants and powerful.
When you magnify the situation or your enemies above God, it will be difficult for that problem to disappear or for you to have faith to overcome that problem.
You will further make yourself a slave to that problem.
Numbers 13: 27-33
Inferring from the above scriptures, you will see how the children of Israel belittled God. Joshua and Caleb had the right mind. They refused to magnify the problem. They were of a different Spirit and magnified the Lord. They did not see anything in the challenge before them but rather saw only the mighty power of God.
Today, as you say what you want in that ugly situation, you shall have it.
God is a God of faith. He is a positive God.
It is therefore important to understand that you cannot continue to magnify that problem and expect a different result.
We must learn from the response of Joshua and Caleb and see the Mighty Power of God in every situation.
No matter how that situation may be bad, as you say what you want, you shall have it.
Another good example is what Moses said in his ugly situation while the children of Israel were weeping because Pharaoh was after them.
Exodus 14: 12-14
The Children of Israel in the scriptures saw the chariots and armies of Egypt and became afraid. They began to blame Moses, saying, “we told you to leave us in the land of Egypt “.
However, the Bible records that Moses spoke forth the purpose of God in the face of that ugly situation. Moses said, this Egyptians you see today, you shall see them no more forever.
As a result, Pharaoh and the chariots of Egypt were buried under the sea.
You should understand that death and life are in the power of the tongue.
We should always remember to say what God says. Say it and have it.
You see you, that your problem will never follow you home.
My Father, the God whom I serve, he will visit you and bless you.
You see you, God will step into that ugly situation and you will never lose your peace.
I want you to get ready. Today is your day. Do not be like the Children of Ephraim that turned back in the day of battle. You have a weapon to defeat the enemy but you are not using it. You have a weapon and that weapon is your tongue.
Our God can do all things. All that human beings are saying is impossible, have all been made possible in this Church.
In this Church, God has transformed the lives of Killers, Arm Robbers, prostitutes, homosexuals and granted them salvation, never to return to the life of evil.
Do we talk about the extraordinary miracles of healing and deliverances?
What about those born with hunchback? Is it raising the dead? God has done all these things and more.
You see you today, every yoke must be broken.
What is it that our Lord has not done? You see you today, God will do a new thing.
SOME POINTS TO CONSIDER:
- THE REASONS, OUR EXPECTATIONS AND UNFORTUNATE SITUATION.
Many people have used their tongues to help further their problems or made it to refuse to leave them. They say things to promote their problems or their enemies. Sometimes they promote their enemies. If that is your case, do not do it anymore. Stop giving your problem the power it does not have.
Today you must stop that.
You see you, that your problem has no power.
Exodus 14: 9-12
In the scriptures above, you will see the Israelites magnifying the problems and not recognising their Maker. As a result many of them died in the wilderness and could not make it to the Promiseland.
Do not follow that way. In that your ugly situation, magnify the Lord.
We all should know that no matter the situation you are going through, if you follow God’s principle, you will have the solution and victory.
Matthew 9: 27
The blind men in the scriptures believed the Lord and followed him. They believed that as far as Jesus Christ is concerned, they will get their miracle.
If you believe the Lord today, you are going home with your miracle.
I do not know what you are going through. You must follow up that challenge through positive confession. You must approach it by faith.
You see you as you speak the word of faith and word of authority, God will take over from there. He will give you victory in Jesus name.
Do not speak like Unbelievers and backsliders
In that situation, my God will see you through
As you speak like Moses, God will confirm your word.
Recall the case of Joshua and Caleb. These men saw giants.
Numbers 14: 1-8
The congregation wept through the night because of negative report. They wept because of faithless confession which overthrew their faith.
In the same way, when some of you are confronted with challenges, you murmur and backside. Sometimes you see them going back to the village meetings, drinking alcohol and smoking.
My friend, in that ugly situation what you say is what you will have.
In all our ugly situation, we want solution. Always say something in that your ugly situation.
You see you, in that ugly situation, God will see you through, deliver you and fight for you.
Get ready. I know that today will mark the beginning of victory upon victory in your life.
Remember the case of Job in the scriptures. God Almighty boasted concerning Job. He entered into an ugly situation when the enemy afflicted all that he had.
Let us see how Job responded to the ugly situation.
He never compromised. We must learn from such men.
Job 1: 20 -22
Job did not allow any sin while in the ugly situation. He never compromised or made any negative confession.
Job 14: 14
I want to ask you, the “change” that Job was seeking for, did it come to pass?
In accordance to the confession of Job, his “CHANGE” came.
You see you, say what you expect from that ugly situation.
Job 19: 25 – 27; Job 42: 10-12
You can see the confession of Job, “For I know that my Redeemer liveth”. This was irrespective of the fact that his body was devastated by afflictions.
You can see that all was restored to Job and God blessed him mightily.
This is also the faith of the Psalmist.
Psalm 118: 17, 22 & 24
Only the living can praise the Lord.
Say what you need from that ugly situation and it shall come to pass.
May i remind you that one thing that is very certain is that this Psalmist had a good understanding of God. He had a lot of victories. At every given time, he will exalt the Lord. He will say something positive.
If the Psalmist was here today being the 1st day of the month of July, he will say, this is the day/month that the Lord has made and we shall rejoice in it.
You see you, learn from these men and it shall be well with you.
We must not copy from failures who have nothing to show because of their fear.
In as much as you desire good results always, we should confess them.
Psalm 23: 1
The Psalmist declared that, the Lord is my Shepherd. You will see that God protected him and blessed him.
Romans 10: 8-10
If you believe it and confess it, you shall possess it.
You shall be saved.
Speak it out. As you confess it, you shall possess it.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
Recall that while Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour was here in his earthly ministry, he spoke the words of faith severally.
Jesus Christ brought solution to every challenge and situation.
You see here today, all things are possible. Whatever we say here today will surely come to pass.
You see you today, that dead situation that is forgotten and buried shall come back to life today. Amen.
I say your Lazarus, must come back to life today, in Jesus name. Amen.
The unfortunate situation is that many persons in their bid to attract sympathy and pity confess a lot of negative things and thereby magnify their problems and worsen their situation.
I pray it shall not continue.
Even the Bible says, let the weak say I am strong.
That is the word. Always make a positive statement.
- OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND THE BENEFITS
Everyone should learn to say what you expect from your ugly situation like Job who was in a terrible situation when he lost everything. He was left only with his wife to tempt him. Yet he did not charge God foolishly.
In such ugly situation, Job was careful of what he said to avoid sin and at the same time, he spoke positive words of faith. What Job said was heard by God and God turned his captivity and blessed his later end more than his beginning.
So also was the case of our Father of faith, Abraham, when he and his wife Sarah were old.
Yet no child or fulfilment of promise coming their way.
God taught him faith by changing his name. By calling themselves, Father of many Nations (Abraham), Mother of many Nations (Sarah), God brought it to pass.
At the appointed time Sarah conceived and bore a Son and called him laughter.
You see you today, laughter will be born in your family and marriage.
God crowned the faith of Abraham and counted it for him as righteousness.
Your own faith can move God as the faith of Abraham.
In like manner, Moses when he confronted Pharaoh, was neither afraid of his throne, magic nor his armies.
Moses spoke by faith authoritatively when he met Pharaoh. However Pharaoh resisted it, yet Moses continued to say it until it came to pass.
You see some of you when you become Born-again, you are comfortable even though your family and acquaintances are not Born-again. However Moses on the other hand declared to Pharaoh that he is taking all the Israelites both young and old including their cattle, out of Egypt.
Never you say you do not care and you will go to heaven even if you do not have money to transport yourself to Church.
You see you, your blessings will provoke sinners to repentance. They will follow you and serve your God.
You see you, God will surprise all people around you. He will make them to see the glory of God in your life.
As we are going to pray, say what you need from that ugly situation.
As you say and do the same thing, honestly you will have the strength of God manifested in your life.
My friend, you see you, God will prove his power in your life.
You see you, God will surprise all your enemies. They will see the power of God in your life
You see you, that poverty must be cancelled.
You want to be promoted in life, my friend say it and have it.
Your blessings will provoke sinners to repentance.
Exodus 12: 30-31
God killed all the firstborn of the Egyptians and Pharaoh could not sleep so that he will grant all the requests of Moses.
Pharaoh said, go serve the Lord as you have said. It was now according to the statement and declaration of Moses.
You see why it is important to say something.
As we are going to pray now, if you refuse to say something, it is your fault, do not blame me.
You see you today, God has no challenger.
That Pharaoh in your life must die. Amen.
I do not know what you are passing through. You are going with all that you have.
Whatever you say today, you shall have it.
Are you going to say something now?
Mark 11: 22-24
Are you going to say something?
You see you, that mountain will leave your body. That mountain will leave your business.
You see you today, your prayers, your desires, your word, shall be honoured.
Say something now.
Matthew 7: 7
The Bible says, ask and it shall be given to you. Now arise and say something.
For the sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.
Confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour.
Romans 3:23; 1 John 3: 8 & 9; 1 John 5: 17a; Isaiah 59: 1;
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin? Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into divorce? That is sin.
Matthew 19: 4-6.
Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman until death separates you.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin. Deuteronomy 22: 5
Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.
All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Proverbs 28: 13; John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
As you give your life to Jesus Christ and begin to live the life of the kingdom of God, I am assuring you, that power shall come upon you.
Romans 10: 13
