SUNDAY COMBINED SERVICE MESSAGE 30/05/2021

TOPIC:  REMEMBER MERCY OH’ LORD

TEXT: Habakkuk 3: 1; James 2: 13

Brethren maybe you have been going through terrible or adverse situations for a very long time and you have done everything possible to overcome the trials. May be the problem has persisted or you discover that there is danger in front of you. It is also possible that as a result of your past evil life, fear has eaten you up and you are wondering if God can ever forgive you.
I want you to take note that today, God is here with mercy.
Is it that you are not sure of your future and sorrow is the order of the day. I want to let you know it is by the mercy of God.
Today, I will pray for you on the basis of God’s mercy. No matter how many years you have suffered and what is coming upon you, today it shall be averted. You will not die in that problem.
The mercy of God whom I serve, it will prevail for you. This Worship Service is specially designed for you.
Today, i am assuring you God will show you mercy and see you through.

SOME POINTS TO CONSIDER:

  1. EXAMPLES AND REASONS.

Many people offended the Lord in the times past and as a result were under the severe judgement of God and the resultant effects.
The Isrealites had such cases severally as they journeyed through the wilderness. I do not know what you have done and you cannot forgive yourself. I do not know the judgement that is upon you for the evil of the past.
When the Israelites sinned against God by murmuring against God, Moses pleaded for mercy.

God pardoned the children of Israel and removed the judgement., That is the effect of mercy.

Numbers 14: 1-13, 17-20
God was listening to the prayers and argument  of Moses. It was until Moses reminded God of the greatness of his mercy that the response of God was activated.
You see you today, I do not know what you have done and God has decided to judge you,. Only mercy will deliver you.
I do not know the door that God has closed as a result of judgement.
I do not know the womb that has been closed as a result of judgement.
The assurance I am giving to you is that as we cry to God for mercy on your behalf, heaven will give attention.

Judges 2: 19; Judges 3: 6 & 12, 13, Judges 4: 1; Judges 6: 1-3; Judges 10: 7
You see some of you might be amongst those that provoked God in times past and because of the evil of your doings, God is not pleased with you.
Inferring from the scriptures above, I want to let you know that without the mercy of God, no matter the prayers and fasting of the Israelites, if God did not show mercy they will continue to be under the captivity of their enemies.
I do not know what you have done, except by the mercy of God you will continue to be under that captivity. However what I know is that, ” in wrath oh Lord, remember mercy”.
God has been angry with this generation.  You see the anger of God here and there.

There are many people like the children of Isreal highlighted in the above scriptures, that after they come out of prison they enter into prison again.
So many people that are walking up and down today are in prison. They do not maintain permanent victory because they cannot stop doing evil.
Imagine you that because of anger, hatred,  fornication, stealing, immorality, you go from prison to prison. God forbid.
Are you spending your years in torment, affliction and trouble?
You see you, God will show you mercy.
You see you, and many of you, that sow and invest monies, do several businesses and yet no way.

You see you, if you do not know how to cry unto God for mercy, I am here for you and i will cry on your behalf and say God remember mercy.
The mercy of God will bring you out today.
The Lord God Almighty raised a prophet in times past and today, I am here before you. As I speak concerning you today, mercy shall be shown to you.
When you are under the judgement of God, even your helper will be in trouble.

Jonah 3: 1-5
You see you today as you repent today, God will show you mercy.
When Jonah repented in the belly of the fish and asked God for mercy, Gid had mercy and the fish threw up Jonah.
Likewise when David sinned and God judged him, he cried unto God for mercy. God heard David.
You see you today, I do not know the evil you have done.
Let us see some of the prayers David made.

Psalm 51: 3
David repented.

As you are being confronted by the word of God today, do not make argument.

2 Samuel  12 : 13
I do not know the evil you have done. As you repent today, you shall hear, “Thou shalt not die”.

Abimelech was a heathen King and he took the wife of a prophet of God and God closed the womb of everything bearing seed in his household and generation. I want to tell you Brethren that God’s judgement is always fierce.

God is merciful and he that delights in mercy will show mercy.

Micah 7: 18-20
You see you, God will take pleasure in showing you mercy.
You see you, God will show you mercy, forgive you and heal you.

Lamentations 3: 22
It is the mercy of God that has kept you alive today. It is the mercy of God that has earned you salvation. Why you are alive today is not because of your good works. Why you are alive today is not because you are the most righteous person.
As you are going to pray today, your prayer will be very simple.  You will say, “oh Lord, in your wrath, remember mercy”.

  1. OUR RESPONSE AND BENEFITS.

No matter your evil in the past and the consequences which are all over your life, no matter the afflictions you are going through.
May be nothing works for you. Where people succeed, when you go, the door closes; my friend you are under judgement. I do not know how many years today.
You see today, God will show you mercy and liberate you. By the mercy of God, you will marry.
To some people every body hates them because of judgement.  No favour. Rising and falling, this has been the order of the day. Problems every day, connection will come, connection will be gone.
You see you, I do not know the experience you are going through because of the evil of your past. Some of you when you go to the House of God, you will be murmuring, “close let me go”.
The Bible says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.
As the people of Nineveh obtained their freedom and were liberated, so shall you be liberated today in Jesus name.
All you have to do is to cry out for the mercy of God and plead with God to remember mercy for Jesus sake. God will show you mercy and cancel the judgement and its effect on your life.

Remember, Habakkuk made it clear. He said, “In your wrath, remember mercy”.
The mercy of the Lord will rejoice over that judgement in Jesus name.
Let us see some examples from the Psalmist.
Psalm 51: 1
You are going to cry and tell the Lord, show me mercy.

Psalm 56: 1
What is the prayer? Be merciful unto me.

Psalm 57: 1
You see the Psalmist crying unto God for mercy.

Psalm 67: 1
As you are approaching God today, you are approaching on the basis of his mercy.

Psalm 69: 1-5
The Psalmist cried to God, and lamented. He knew the cause of his problems.  God heard him and delivered him.
You see you today, God will hear you and deliver you.

Psalm 40: 1-2
You see you today, God will hear your cry. As you repent and cry out to God today, God will hear your cry. I do not know the pit you have been thrown into. Pit of poverty, sickness,  afflictions and troubles.  That pit of judgement in your life shall be cancelled today. You see you today, you are coming out of that pit.
I do not know how many years you have been there and nothing is coming your way; you see you today, something good is coming your way.
You shall be established in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Lord shall establish your goings.
You see you after this programme,  every one of you shall be established on the Rock of Ages.
You shall be amongst the unstoppable people in the society and when the trumpet shall sound, God will help us to make Heaven at last in Jesus name.

What the Lord will do for you today, you shall sing praises. You shall sing a new song.
You see you, the Lord will do something remarkable in your life.
You will testify. It shall be well for you.

For those who are sinners and Backsliders, they should repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.  Believe that Jesus Christ died for you. Believe it and allow Jesus to come into your life as your Lord and personal Saviour.
Remember a Sinner is not a Christian and a Christian is not a Sinner.
Romans 3:23; 1 John 3: 8 & 9; 1 John 5: 17a; Isaiah 59: 1.

The question now is, what is sin?
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, going for divination and palm reading, all that is terrible wickedness. No child of God does that. If you are into stealing, any form of stealing; stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin. Amend your ways.
If you are there and you are involved into armed robbery, duping people, do not bring such money to this Church.

If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion, that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.

Are you into fighting and quarreling? Are you disobedient to your husband or you are beating your wife, that is sin.
Are you into any kind of killing, poisoning people, hired assassin? Confess that sin and amend your ways. Promise God you will not return to that wickedness.
Are you into divorce? That is sin.
Matthew 19: 4-6.

Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband, that is sin. Marriage is between a man and a woman until death separates you.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin. Deuteronomy 22: 5
Are you among those that take snuff, take cigarette and banned substances, that is sin. That is wickedness against your soul and against humanity.

All these people that bleach their body and turn yellow over night, that is sin.
I have not spoken this word to condemn you but to point out what is evil thereby enabling you to amend your ways.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 28: 13; John 14: 6; John 1: 29; John 10: 10b; Matthew 11: 28; John 1: 12; 2 Corinthians 5: 17
As you give your life to Jesus Christ and begin to live the life of the kingdom of God,  I am assuring you, that as you call upon the Lord today, mercy shall be shown unto you.
In your wrath, have mercy oh’ Lord.
Romans 10: 13
