DECEMBER NATIONAL RETREAT MESSAGE, DAY 1.
TOPIC: ONLY GOD CAN DO THIS.
TEXT: Matthew 8:23-32, Matthew 17:14-17, Matthew 19:26, Luke 1:37
Many things abound which no man can give solution or answer to: reason being that man is limited. I want you to understand that all the great things happening in this church, "only God can do it". Besides, for all your problems to be solved in this programme, only God can do it. For you to live and be alive from the beginning of this year till now, only God can do it. For us surviving this pandemic, only God can do it. I don't know what you are passing through and have done everything possible to come out of that problem and it still remains, only God can do it (Matthew 15:30, Isaiah 41:20, Isaiah 42:8)POINTS TO CONSIDER:
1: THE REASONS AND EXAMPLE
Sometimes human beings could get worried because of some problems in life as though the problems can kill them or as if they can't be healed (2nd Corinthians 16:6-13.)Asa didn’t seek God in his problems, he sought men and turned his back away from God and he died. Don’t seek for remedy in isolation from God.
Let God be your remedy. Don’t behave like Asa. Those that behaved like Asa usually die(John 15:5. )
We all should remember that only God can do it (Luke 1:37, John 5:5-9. ) He healed the impotent man with an infirmity for 38 years. Examples abound in the Bible, where in such situation, God proved that he had no rival and delivered his people( Exodus 12:30-32,40.)
God made Joseph who was a slave and sold to become the prime minister of Egypt.
( Genesis 39:1-6, 20-23, Genesis 41:1, 15-16, 31-35.) He delivered the three Hebrew children from the furnace of fire ( Daniel 3:16-23.) .
He healed many who were sick, he delivered those who were demon possessed(Matthew 12:15, Matthew 14:14, Matthew 4:23 Acts 10: 38.)
- THE PREVAILING PROBLEMS AND SOLUTION
Many problem abound that are terminal in the life of many people and they prevail in their lives today ;example are cancer, liver problems, it could be Hiv, corona virus, madness, family and academic problems, abject poverty. No matter your problems, God will deliver you from all your problems
( Psalms 34:6, Psalms 121:1-2 ).
No matter the problems or who might have attended to it, it is over! God can do and undo (1 Samuel 2:6-8, Mark 9:23.)
God has a remedy to all our problems, no problem can defy solution today in this program (Philippians 4:19, Luke 14:17, Matthew 11:28, Genesis 24:1. )
Only God has the final solution to all your problems, whatever you are going through. What is impossible with man, with God all things are possible.
( Isaiah 41:20, Romans 3:23.)
For Sinners and Backsliders, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour (Romans 3:23, 1 John 3: 8 & 9, 1 John 5: 17a,Isaiah 59: 1).
Sin is dangerous. It is destructive and yet almost the whole world has gone into sin.
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion; that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness; all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband? that is sin.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
