SUNDAY SERVICE MESSAGE 13/12/2020

Topic: Giving, Open Doors For Heavenly Blessings.

Text: Genesis 8:22, Luke 6:38, Acts 20:35

Many brethren who do not know about this fact have suffered so much and have suffered lack even in the midst of plenty; even in this place; God has bestowed so much mineral resources in this country and human resources. No one should have any reason to lack or complain in this country.

Many have become philanthropists, they give and give and are mightily blessed. We are not meeting the principles of God–If we meet the principles of God, we will be a blessing to ourselves, people around us and our nations ( Luke 6:38).

            POINTS TO CONSIDER:

1. THE REASONS, EXAMPLES AND UNFORTUNATE SITUATION.

Everyone should know that God’s word is the truth and whatever He said is the final
( John 17:17,Revelation 22:13.)
He has the final say concerning the earth, heaven and beneath. His word is final
( Psalm 119:89.)

His word reveals his principle on every matter. Whatever God reveals to you, when you do it, you will get result, it must surely come to pass.

His word makes for salvation, deliverance, prosperity, protection etc.

On being blessed – His word says “give and it shall be given unto you”.

To be saved – His word says in Romans 10:13, “for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”.

On the blessing of God on every side – His word says “And it shall come to pass, if thou shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord they God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command there, that the Lord they God will set there on high above all nations of the earth”.

Galatians 6:7-10. We should know that our father who art in heaven is the embodiment of knowledge
(Matthew 6:9, Genesis 17:1, Jude 25).
We should understand that we all have limitations, only God is unlimited.
He has made us to know that the way to heavenly prosperity is to give, tithe, give worthily.

Examples of those in the Bible who gave without persuasion and were blessed.
( Genesis 22:1-3, Genesis 22:10-18).

Abraham met the requirement of giving without persuasion, God swore by himself to bless Abraham.

1 Kings 3:3-5, Solomon offered unto the Lord a thousand burnt offering. Solomon did not demand anything from the Lord. God told Solomon to ask Him what He shall give unto him. Solomon asked for an understanding heart to judge the people of God. 1 Kings 3:9. God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding, including riches and honour.

If we give with a perfect heart, God will surprise us, bless us and open doors for us.

Giving open doors. 1 Kings 17:7-9, 12-16.

The widow of Zarephath gave her last meal to Elijah and she never lacked. Famine, economic recession doesn’t affect us, doesn’t affect the principles of God. Give and it shall be given unto you. Matthew 14:15-21, a little boy gave five loaves of bread and two fishes in the Bible, Jesus blessed it, it fed multitude and remained twelve baskets.

Other examples are Matthew 15:32-38, Luke 21:1-2

We all should know that giving is the principle of receiving.
(Like 6:38, 2 Corinthians 9:6, Galatians 6:7).

Whosoever that wants to be blessed must give and look for opportunity to give. Remember, there is no blessing in receiving. It is more blessed to give than receive.
( Acts 20:35).

The unfortunate situation today, is that many people are not interested in giving but receiving so they are suffering the effect and have nothing. Stinginess kills.

2. OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE, BENEFIT AND DANGER OF NEGLECT.

As many who are not giving should repent and ask God for mercy for not giving . Without wasting time, we should begin to sow seeds and give to all, mostly to the household of faith. As we give, we will open the doors of blessing. We should follow the principle of God. We should give liberally, not with a bad heart. We should not be stingy
(Proverbs 11:25.)

For those who knows the principle of God, they give and look for opportunity to give.
1 Kings 3:1-12.
When we give, we shall be blessed without asking, according to (Acts 20:35.)

Whosoever that wants to blessed and prosper must meet the standard of God. You must give to God and the people, sow seed, pay tithe
( 2 Corinthians 9:6-8, Luke 6:38.)

Those who do not give will suffer lack and beg and their doors will be shut.

For Sinners and Backsliders, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour (Romans 3:23, 1 John 3: 8 & 9, 1 John 5: 17a,Isaiah 59: 1).

Sin is dangerous. It is destructive and yet almost the whole world has gone into sin.
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin.

If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion; that is terrible wickedness.

Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness; all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.

Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband? that is sin.

Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
