Text: Matthew 4:23-24, Matthew 9:35, Mark 2:1-12, Mark 3:1-6.
Topic: The Master Has Come Again
Our master and Lord Jesus Christ, while he was here on earth, went about healing all that were sick and oppressed by the devil
(Acts 10:38).
He went about doing this over and over again. He was never stationary and had passion for evangelism. He has huge love and care for humanity and doesn’t like anyone to suffer.
So today, He is here again ( Luke 19:10, 1st Peter 5:7, Exodus 3:6-8).
He knows your sorrows and has come to deliver you ( Matthew 24:7, 2nd Timothy 3:1-5, 1st Timothy 4:1, Hebrews 4:15, Mark 8:22-25).
SUBHEADINGS1: THE REASONS, CONCERNS AND OUR EXAMPLES.
Remember, He is our father in Heaven. He is our creator and maker. He cares for us (Isaiah 9:6). He is always touched when we go through problems or infirmities
( Exodus 3:7-8, Isaiah 61:1, John 11:32-35).
If our earthly fathers can care for us, He will care for us even more because He is the father of all fathers ( Matthew 17:14-18, Matthew 15:30-32). He delivered the people of old from their troubles and afflictions. He has compassion ( Exodus 3:7-8).
He also intervened to save humanity
(John 3:16, Luke 19:10, Acts 10:38, Matthew 4:23, Matthew 12:15).
Jesus was touched and He went about healing people and doing good (Mark 2:1, Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8). His power, compassion and love has not changed. You have a father in heaven and He is equal to the task.
2: OUR REASONS AND THE BENEFITS.
Everyone should understand that we have a father and our Lord Jesus Christ who created us and died on the cross of Calvary, which no one can do for us even, those who love us, even our earthly father and mother. Remember, He is touched with our problems and infirmities and he’s always ready to do good ( Matthew 8:1-3).
He has come again as before to do us good. So all we have to do is to bring our problems to him.
(Psalm 50:15, 1st Peter 5:7, Matthew 19:26).
He has come to answer the prayers of those calling upon Him( Matthew 7:7-8, Matthew 11:4, John 14:13).
For Sinners and Backsliders, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour (Romans 3:23, 1 John 3: 8 & 9, 1 John 5: 17a,Isaiah 59: 1).
Sin is dangerous. It is destructive and yet almost the whole world has gone into sin.
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin.
If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion; that is terrible wickedness.
Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness; all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.
Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband? that is sin.
Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
