Text: Revelations 2:1-7.

Topic: I Have Something Against You.

Many pastors, leaders, workers and people of the church should know that God is watching us and He knows the state of our Christian Life ( Hebrews 4:13). No one should think that God does not see what He or She does. He knows our limitations and He knows our work in the sight of God. In fact He knows everything ( Deuteronomy 29:29, 1st Samuel 16:7).
There is nothing hidden before Him (Psalm 139:1-4, Revelations 2:1-4).

The Lord is making it clear that many people has forgotten their first love which is the love of God and the Lord is saying today that He has something against you.

   SUBHEADINGS:

1: SOMETHING AGAINST Y0U EXPLAINED AND THE REASONS.

Many born again people that were committed to making Heaven at Last have forgotten the purpose of their repentance and are rather chasing the things of this world and have lost their first love (2nd Timothy 4:10, Psalm 122:1, Matthew 6:33).

Everything concerning God, you just take it as your first duty. If you are among those that do not take God as your first love, the Lord is saying today that He has something against you( 2nd Timothy 4:2).
You have to obey His commandments and do His will.

You must preach the word, ( Mark 16:15, Hosea 10:1-2). Many who used to fear God and do no evil are no longer doing it, you need to correct that (Psalm 3:7).
Many who used to pay tithes, come to church early and participate in the things of the Lord are no longer doing that. If you are among them, then the Lord is saying today that “ He has something against you" (Malachi 3:8-12).

So many have forgotten their first love ( Revelations 2:4). The reason is that the world and its lust has affected the people of this world and that is why they don't have the love of God and are loving in suffering
( James 4:4, 1st John 2:15-17).

When you keep on loving the world, the danger is this ( Mark 8:36). So, you must do something before it is too late.

2: OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND THE DANGER.

Everyone should examine himself or herself to find out the area the Lord is pointing out in our lives. We should find out the area in which we are offending God in our lives and we should repent (Revelations 2:2-7).

So, let's endeavor to live our lives according to the will of God. Let us ensure to stay away from anything that can make God to be unhappy with us. Let us ensure purity!( Matthew 5:8, 1st Peter 1:15-16, 1st Peter 2:9-10). Remember who you are; God has specially chosen you to show forth His praise. So, endeavor to be Holy and ensure purity on every side ( 1st Thessalonians 5:23-24, 2nd Corinthians 13:5).

We all must endeavor to go back to our first love (Acts 14:22). When there are tribulations, don't compromise your faith. We must not join the world and do what they do ( 2nd Timothy 3:10-11).
Make sure you stand strong in the perfect will of God (1st Corinthians 15:19).

Everyone should return to the true love of God (Revelation 4:11). We should bear fruits of soul winning. We must preach in season and out of season. We should all go out and bring people to the Kingdom. When we do His will, He will never depart from us (John 8:29). Whoever will ignore His message and go contrary to the will of God, He or She will be under curse ( John 15:4-8). So reconcile to Him, abide in Him and it shall be well with you.

For Sinners and Backsliders, confess your sins and accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and personal Saviour (Romans 3:23, 1 John 3: 8 & 9, 1 John 5: 17a, Isaiah 59: 1).

Sin is dangerous. It is destructive and yet almost the whole world has gone into sin.
Unbelief is sin. Selfishness is sin; Covetousness is sin, Insincerity is sin; backbiting, murmuring, speaking evil of others, these are terrible sin.
Going to native doctors, stealing from Government, stealing from companies and individuals, that is sin.

If you are among those people that are involved in fornication, adultery, homosexuality, lesbianism, abortion; that is terrible wickedness.

Fighting and quarreling, smoking and drunkenness; all these are evil. Ask for the mercy of God.

Are you into polygamous marriage or you have sent away your wife or you moved away from your husband? that is sin.

Are you a woman dressing like a man or a man dressing like a woman, all that is sin.
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
