THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Tuesday November 28th, 2017.
TEXT: Psalm 139:14
THEME: YOU ARE MADE OF A STERNER STUFF
MEMORISE: 5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. 6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet. (Psalm 8:5-6)
The bible insists that people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6) As a result of lack of knowledge, many have lost the drive to aspire believing that they do not have what it takes to reach their goals. This is because they do not know the stuff they are made of. The bible informs us that we (humans) were made a little lower than the angels. Angels are ministering spirits. They minister in the presence of God in heaven. God also uses them to minister in the lives of men. Angels are not omnipotent, but they are very strong. For man to be a little lower than the angels and crowned with glory and honour are indications that man is embedded with inner spiritual qualities that can ensure dominion and put everything under his feet.
How do you rate yourself? As nothing, or as an invalid who can achieve nothing? You are getting it all wrong. Have you considered your weaknesses and disadvantages and come to the conclusion that you do not deserve the best? That is not supposed to be the case. The truth is that you were created in the image and likeness of God and to have dominion. Moreover, God has pronounced nourishment to enable His blessings, fruitfulness, overcoming and dominion power in your life. You need to have this mind-set to enable you understand where you are coming from. Of course, this will give you the right drive to aspire.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. Let every trace of lack of knowledge in my life; be replaced by the wisdom of God, in Jesus’ name.
2. Any power assigned to limit my destiny; be uprooted, in Jesus’ name.
3. Let your glory and honour as conferred upon man from creation manifest upon our G. O and Mummy in the Lord spiritually, materially, financially and in every other area of their lives, in Jesus’ name.
