THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Saturday November 11th, 2017.
TEXT: Deuteronomy 28:1-13, 2 Corinthians 10:6
THEME: JUST OBEY
MEMORISE: If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. (Isaiah 1:19)
MESSAGE:
Obedience is the key towards unlocking the blessings of God Almighty. It gives a believer in Christ unhindered access to his/her redemptive rights in the kingdom. However, many people are finding it difficult to fulfill this spiritual obligation which is a prerequisite to becoming blessed by God.
The blessings of God don’t just happen to anyone. Some basic principles must be adhered to. As earthly parents take delight in obedient children to ensure they do not lack the much need parental care and will also later pass on their inheritance to them, so does God take delight in blessing those who are obedient to His commandments.
Therefore, to tap into God’s blessings, you need to demonstrate total obedience to God’s commandments. If you take His word seriously to obey them, He has the obligation to take care of you, but when you are not following His statutes, He will not release his blessings on you.
Brethren, when things do not seem to be working according to your expectation, it becomes an opportunity to examine yourself; otherwise you may become a reprobate. God forbid! Prove yourself to know if you are still standing right, engaging in spiritual exercises, attending services regularly, going for evangelism, paying tithes and offerings, making pledges and redeeming them.
Are you obedient to God’s commandments? Examine yourself! If not, you have to repent and make up your mind to be a child of God indeed. Don’t yield to distractions. Focus your attention on things above, by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. He has a duty to take care of the rest. Do not live a life of disobedience; walk in righteousness so that these blessings of the Lord will come upon you and overtake you.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. Father, I repent truly from all forms of disobedience to your word,
in Jesus’ name.
2. I receive grace to obey all thy statutes through the teachings of thy
servant our G. O, in Jesus’ name.
3. Uphold our G. O, Mummy in the Lord and The Lord’s Chosen
ministry with thy right hand of righteousness, in Jesus’ name.
