THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…THEME: GUARD AGAINST LITTLE FOXES

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Friday November 10th, 2017.
TEXT: Matthew 5:19

THEME: GUARD AGAINST LITTLE FOXES
MEMORISE: Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes. (Song of Solomon 2:16)
MESSAGE:

Christians are known as followers of Christ. If that be the case, then it is required that our lifestyle must be like that of Christ. But unfortunately, that has not always been the case. As those who profess to be Christians, our attitude must reflect that of genuine Christians. You must understand that the moment you accept Christ, old things pass away in your life. So, do not allow little foxes in our lives to spoil your Christianity.
Christ our Saviour showed us how to live for Him by avoiding those things that pollute our Christian lives. Unrighteousness will hinder your spiritual growth and will not allow for nourishment. If you are saved, press on for sanctification, which is the second work of grace, by which every inbred nature of unrighteousness is uprooted, making you to live without blemish or spot, followed by the accompanying power, which helps to champion your Christian race.
We must continue in the Lord in order to be free from these foxes that tend to spoil our Christian life. Each time you appear in His presence, He works on you so you can live your life according to His will – not your will, and that’s the more reason we must endeavour to be present in all our fellowship days.
God Almighty takes delight in our fellowship with Him. He is the potter and we are the clay. His duty is to mould our character, attitude, actions, thoughts, deeds, etc, to conform to His will for us. We have a duty to be doers of the word and not hearers only. Only then can we be justified.
Take time to ask the Holy Spirit in prayers to work on your whole being. He’s our comforter; He will help you. By the time His work is done in your life, you will radiate the glory of God and become a channel of blessings to other believers to the glory of God..
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. O Lord, uproot every unrighteous character trait in my life, in Jesus
name.
2. O God my Father, uproot every stubborn, wicked and sinful habit in my life, in Jesus name.
3. O Lord, give me the enabling grace to live holy and righteous
according to your will and commandment, in Jesus’ name.
4. Every distraction projected against our G. O and Mummy in the Lord, backfire, in Jesus’ name.
