TEXT: Isaiah 53:5-12
THEME: RETURN TO THE LORD’S SIDE
MEMORISE: Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings, Behold, we come unto thee; for thou art the Lord our God. (Jeremiah 3:22)
MESSAGE:
The level of spiritual malnourishment among humans in the world today is very worrisome. The devil has succeeded in turning many people away from the things of God and men are now lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. Iniquities abound; many sicknesses and diseases of various kinds, troubles, persecutions etc, abound in the world. In spite of these, God is still calling man to repentance; because He loves man and it is never His will that any soul should perish. Whatsoever your spiritual/physical state, God Almighty is still in the work of saving the lost, receiving the backsliders and healing the broken hearted, before the emergence of the rapture. Jesus passed through terrible afflictions for us so that through His death and resurrection, we shall be reconnected back to God’s presence. God wants us to experience His miniature kingdom here on earth and still go to heaven.

Whatever your situation or the conditions of the world, if you can amend your ways and return from backsliding, God is ever ready to receive and nourish you. Don’t forget: God’s word is true and cannot be broken, instead heaven and earth will pass away. Whenever anyone turns away from following the Lord and draws back to the world, he becomes a backslider. In that spiritual condition he/she will lose God’s nourishment by His Spirit and instead great suffering, afflictions and oppressions will set in. In such state, the person risks danger of hell fire. Do don’t be deceived by the devil. If you have gone back from following the Lord, return back in repentance, for there is no more time.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. O Lord, I repent of my backsliding; accept me back into your presence, in Jesus’ name.
2. Any ancestral, witchcraft, marine spirit and occult power assigned to derail my salvation; receive rebuke, in Jesus’ name.
3. O God, nourish our G. O and Mummy in the Lord spiritually and physically. Uproot every weakness and stress out of their body systems, in Jesus’ name.
