THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Sunday November 5th, 2017.
TIME: Daniel 1:1-15
THEME: OBEDIENCE IS KEY FOR NOURISHMENT
MEMORISE: I am the vine, ye are the branches, He that abideth in me and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. (John. 15:5)
While we continue to seek for Gods nourishment from above, we must realize that God our Father, takes delight in those who seek to obey Him at all times, not minding what they are passing through. Some people become children of God only when things are working well for them, but become offended when they pass through trials.
The case of Daniel and his companions is a very instructive lesson. Though in captivity as a matter of trial, they remained resolute and maintained their stand on righteousness and obedience to God Almighty.
They were required to eat food sacrificed to idols, which was against the commandment of God. They never compromised.
Rather, they chose to believe God and He blessed them above their fellows. These youths had the understanding that God Almighty is everywhere, beholding all things and more so His eyes are over the righteous. Therefore, they remained faithful, by rejecting everything around them that makes for defilement and sin.
As a child of God, you must understand that God’s eyes are over you. He cannot allow any harm to come upon His faithful children.
No matter where you travel to, God is beholding you. In times of trials and persecutions, will you still stand for Christ or will you compromise your faith? Remember, for you to be approved by God Almighty, your faith must be tried.
Trials are a must for every believer; it is part of the hurdles you meet on your way to heaven. When you are tried with the love of money, women/men, position, self or lack of a need, will you be found faithful? If you are found faithful, only then will God take delight in nourishing you in all ramifications.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. O Lord, work on me and help me to be faithful to your word, in Jesus’ name.
2. O God my Father, I pray that you give the grace and power to live holy and righteous according to your will and commandment, in Jesus’ name.
3. Father, nourish our G. O and Mummy in the Lord to the level of the supernatural, in Jesus’ name.
