MISSING THE FOCUS AND MARRING THE FUTURE

MESSAGE FROM THE PULPIT (SUNDAY COMBINED SERVICE – 08/10/2017)

TEXT: Matthew 6:33, Proverbs 29:18, John 15:5

TOPIC: MISSING THE FOCUS AND MARRING THE FUTURE

We all should know that knowledge is very important (John 8:32, Daniel 11:32). The knowledge of God’s will is very important. I want to let you know that this knowledge can make one a champion of this life, it will make one to excel above others (1 Corinthians 15:19). If your purpose of coming to church is to earn earthly things, the bible said that your are a miserable person. We should know why we are in the Church and our vision (1 Peter 2:9). Everyone should take note that, these are basic knowledge.

I want to let you know that we are not of this world, we belong to the citizen of heaven (Hebrew 11:13 – 16). Every Chosen should know our vision and mandate, we should also know our privileges; if you don’t know these things, it is easy for such person to drop out of faith. When God made choice for us and we reject it, no matter where such person goes seeking God, such person cannot find God (John 6:66 – 70)

For better understanding of this message we shall consider the following subheadings;

1. Our focus and effect
2. Our expected response and the danger of missing the focus

1. OUR FOCUS AND EFFECT
Every believer should know that our focus is to make heaven at last (Proverbs 29:18). Anyone going out of this ministry is not a serious Christian. Believer should be able to say these with confidence (Romans 8:35 – 39).

2. OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND THE DANGER OF MISSING THE FOCUS

Every Chosen should remain focused to make heaven at last (Mark 8:36). In Chosen, the word of God is real; this is the place where no weapon fashioned against us shall prosper. Chosen is an answered prayer to those seeking refuge or a place for true christianity. The church promised by God (Micah 4:1 – 2), I want to let you know that Chosen is that mountain. Chosen is a refinery where souls are refined and if you are a chosen? have knowledge of this truth.

We should know that the glory of these world passes away (1 Corinthians 7:29 -31, 35,). If you are a real child of God, you will have all things (Philippians 3:18 – 20, 2 Timothy 4:10, Luke 14:16 – 17, Matthew 11:27, Philippians 4:19, 1 Corinthians 3:21 – 22). Our problem is disobeying God; we are missing the focus and marring the future.

The danger of missing the focus is that such person will be living their life anyhow, you can lie , commit fornication, you can do all sort of atrocities.

HYMNS:
111: How Great Thou Art
85: Worthy Worthy Is The Lamb
151: I will guide thee
