THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Friday September 8th, 2017.
TEXT: John 15:13, Matthew 5:46
THEME: REMEMBER TO PRAY FOR OTHERS
MEMORIZE: “And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. (Job 42:10)
Sometimes people wonder why their prayers are not answered. They wonder if God no longer answers prayers or has forgotten or forsaken them. God answers prayers. But He does not give heed to prayer of selfishness. Many people’s prayer revolves only around what God can give to them — car, house, wealth and riches, fame and power, etc. Honestly, selfish prayers do not move God. Imagine what it means praying for others. This is a high spiritual sacrifice that can attract divine intervention. Many people have testified that as they prayed for our General Pastor, God went ahead and blessed them. This is a confirmation that God honours unselfish prayers.
Therefore, this month, involve yourself in an unusual prayer strategy of praying for other people for you to enter into God’s blessings. Go beyond the regular selfishness of praying for yourself alone. Bible records that God healed Job when he prayed for his friends. Though your friends despise you and hate you, you must do the unusual today by praying for them. Praying for others is an expression of love. In addition, you must pray for our Daddy in the Lord, our Mummy and their entire family. You must pray for The Lord’s Chosen ministry, our three-fold vision and ten billion souls’ mandate. Pray for all the Chosen workers, leaders, pastors, the entire congregation, the unsaved, the poor and needy persons, those in prison, hospitals and others who have one problem or the other.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. Pray that God will rescue all the believers that are being persecuted and afflicted in our nation and all over the world, the poor, needy, orphans, widows, helpless, those in prison and sufferings of different kinds. Pray for the unsaved souls, the backslidden and those held by the chains of religion. Ask God to set them free.
2. Pray for your friends, neighbours, family. Pray for all our brethren all over the world.
3. Pray for our G. O, our Mummy in the Lord, their children and entire family. Pray for greater anointing, higher level of faith, righteousness, love, peace and joy for them.
