THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Sunday September 3rd, 2017.
TEXT: Exodus 19:5-8, 23:32-33
THEME: GOD WILL HEAR YOUR GROANING
MEMORIZE: “And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his p covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. ” (Exodus 2:24)
MESSAGE:
God warned the children of Israelites severally to ensure that they never entered into covenants with the people of the lands they were going to inherit and they promised to do whatever He bade them. But along the line, they sinned against Him and entered into covenants and agreements with the same nations God warned them about. And they began to suffer. The suffering was so terrible that they groaned under its weight and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Perhaps, what you are going through today might have relationship with how your ancestors had conducted their affairs thereby sinning against God, who in turn insists on visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children’s children of which you are among.

Nonetheless, as He heard the groaning of the children of Israel and remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He will also hear your groaning and prayer of supplication and remember the covenant of blood which Jesus Christ entered into on our behalf through His death on the cross. The problem seems to be more that the believers of today have lost the passion for the things of God and can hardly groan or pray from the heart. Rather, they prefer to observe others who are praying. Considering the fact that God is set to send down blessings in the form of rain showers, there is every need for you to repent and ask God for a broken spirit and a contrite heart. That way, you can groan to obtain the mercy that will provoke God to remember His covenant.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. O thou God of Chosen, I repent of any disobedience in my life.
2. O thou that showed mercy to the people of old and remembered your covenant, Father, show me mercy and remember your covenant of blood through Jesus’ Christ.
3. Father, remember me for good. Let your blessings envelop my life, in Jesus’ name.
4. Holy Spirit, hearken unto the groaning of our G. O and our Mummy in the Lord for the souls of the unsaved; give them extraordinary grace and power to pursue the three-fold vision and mandate, in Jesus’ name.
