THEME: THE ALTAR MUST GO DOWN

MEMORIZE: “Throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it. “(Judges 6:25b)

MESSAGES:

Gideon wondered very seriously how the situation of things had affected them so adversely in spite of all the testimonies of miracles, deliverance, healing, signs and Wonders God demonstrated in their midst during the wilderness journey. Little did he know that the altar of Baal which the Israelites of his time had erected had been their undoing. While they laboured and toiled, the Midianites were there to impoverish them until that day when the angel of God visited and gave him a simple instruction: “Throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it.

By the angel’s directive, it is very obvious that the altar had been speaking against their blessings, miracles and breakthroughs and as long as it remained standing, they would not breathe any sigh of relief. I do not know the hidden altars enemies have raised to speak against your progress and blessings, just like Gideon did, you must cut them down if the blessings of God are to manifest in your life. You might not have a physical altar in your home. But all such satanic practices of throwing food particles and drinks to ancestral spirits by those before you might signify that spiritual altars have been raised to speak against you. You must rise up to throw the altars down.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Any spiritual altar (Name them: witchcraft, marine spirit, occult, serpentine, witchdoctor, etc) contracted or hired to speak against the blessings of God in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ, I throw you down.

2. Any altar demanding for sacrifice/ransom from me; insisting that my parents gave them such sacrifices/ransom, in the name of Jesus I reject and rebuke you, in Jesus’ name.

3. Any altar of my father’s house demanding for service/worship and raising arguments how my father served it, I decree that I will never serve any man-made god. Be destroyed by fire, in Jesus’ name.

4. Any spiritual altar raised up to bring our G. O, Mummy in the Lord and

The Lord’s Chosen ministry; be silent in darkness, in Jesus’ name.
