TOPIC: NOW DETERMINES THE FUTURE (PART I)

TEXT: Prov. 6:3- ; John 2:8; 2 Cor. 6:1-2

Note: Every youth should know that whatever you are going to be in future or in adult depends on what you do now. What you do in your youthful age, now that you are still alive, now that you have the grace to be saved, now that you have the opportunity to hear from your pastor – the word of God, now that you are healthy. Now matters A lot; there’s no body that will misuse now and be anything in future. So therefore we should not joke or play with now.

For more understanding of the message, we shall consider the following points;

POINT 1: THOSE THAT SHALL BE GREAT IN THE FUTURE AND EXAMPLES:
Whosoever that must be great in the future, that person must make proper use of now, the present day or youthful age. Those who wants to be great in their future will take advantage of now and do everything to succeed.

Now you have limited distraction in life, you are a man of one thing and if you fail to make use of your now, you will find it difficult in the future. Whatever you fail to make good use of now, you will find it difficult in the future. Whatever you are given to do now, you need to do it with all commitment for what you do now will determine your future. Galatians 6:7.

Just like the ant, they prepare very hard for the rainy season. Before the flood of distraction comes upon you, learn from the ant, gather it now. Whatever you do, you are observed by everyone. If you want to have a good future, you have to store up treasures now. Whatever you are doing now will speak for your future.

Every child or youth who wants to be successful in life must know his creator now in his youthful age because without Him, we can do nothing. Ecclesiastes 12:1. If you isolate Him, you are nobody, you are building on a sinking sand. No youth in this life that is great and isolates God will make it [heaven at last] but will end up in hell fire. John 15:5, Matthew 6:33

Everything in this life is a gift and if God did not give it to you, you cannot have it. As long as your foundation is upon Him, all things are yours abdicated you can do all things.
Life is not by struggle but a gift from God” John 8:29, Matt 11:27, Matt 28:18. “When you have God in your life, you will become a champion of this world”

Every child or youth who wants to be successful must by the grace of God study and read his or her books, to show thyself approved by all even God. John 2:8. Ezk 8:8. Everyone should live right in the sight of God and man to earn you your future. 2 Chronicles 26:4-5. Those who will not work, study or those who will live anyhow [go into smoking, drinking, clubbing, fornication and proving stubborn] has no future.
Culture yourself now with discipline.

Examples of those who lived right in the sight of God and man are;
Joseph – He suffered because he lived right but God honoured him afterward.
David – who was a serious young man who was always taking care of the father’s sheep, at the long run God brought him out of shepherd hood to become the king of Israel for 40 years, do we talk about Samuel who God made a great prophet in Israel, even our master, Jesus Christ, He was not careless at all and God honored him and gave Him a name that is above other names, Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego, Joshua, Caleb and the Apostles of old, they had good future because they made good use of their now. So, we should not live the life of tomorrow today.

POINT 2: OUR EXPECTED RESPONSE AND BENEFIT:
Every child or youth should know that those who isolates God or live an extravagant life during the youthful age can never be successful or somebody in life and will not make heaven at last. Everyone should caution oneself and live a disciplined life to enable a successful life or future.

We must discipline ourselves, cut our coat according to our size, we should remember that whatsoever we sow is what we will reap, so if you want to become a great man or woman you must come to God through Jesus Christ because without him honestly you can do nothing; humble yourself before God, and he will lift you up, Abraham our father of faith, a typical example was blessed by God in all things and he made heaven at the end of his life Gen 24:1; 13:2. So all those who do not work hard, do not read their books but depend on expo, such people are not going to have success except the repent; so today what you need to do is study now, this time you are young, read your books, live an exemplary life, remember what you will become tomorrow will be determined now.
